I’m so glad you asked….
This year we are dedicated to helping more families in need. We are going to need everyone’s help so here are some ways to become an elf…
1.) Suggest local business’s in the area that may be willing to host our giving tree tags.
2.) Maybe your a business owner that is willing to host our tags. Every tag helps someone.
3.) Maybe you can take some tags to your place of employment and get others involved.
4.) Adopt A Family…. Maybe your family can adopt a family in need. You will receive a info sheet and wishes and needs of a family.
5.) Host a toy drive. Anyone can host a toy drive. These are toys we need to help fill lists for the kiddos in our families in need.
6.) Purchase gift cards for a family in need. We don’t accept food items however we really want each family to have a gift card to shop for groceries. JEWEL, ALDI, WALMART, TARGET, and GAS CARDS are absolutely needed.
7.) Shop off our Amazon list, this list contains direct wishes from our kiddos and veterans and families in need. It gets directly Shipped to us and it only takes a second.
We will distribute the tags to said businesses on November 1-5
Everyone signed up will have tags by
November 5
As more locations sign up, we will distribute tags as needed.
We work with many Social Workers, Police Officers, School Agencies, and our homeless liaisons to find real need. We also get many emergency families that tend to find themselves displaced or in need. We also have joined forces with the Kane County Sheriffs Dept to help the children impacted by a parent incarcerated. We also have several liaisons for our homeless veterans in need. Our veterans are important to us! Without them we would not experience the freedoms we do today. Let’s show them our respect and love!
Adopt A Family OR Veteran is available by sending a request to
CommunitySantaProject@YAHOO.COM
Please include your full name, address, phone number and email. We will match you within 48 hours.

Yes! We love when you gift wrap your items, however if your doing a toy drive or have some donations, no need to gift wrap.
December 15 is our deadline. We will do our pickups on December 15th
IF you have gifts that are late…. You can still turn them in but you will need to deliver directly to The North Pole and we will make sure your recipient receives them.
Community Santa Project does not accept applications directly. We use our community police and sheriff departments, social workers, school social workers, townships and other NFP agencies.
We only take referrals from these agencies and happily fill them. If your family is looking for help, please start with your children’s school and social workers to see what programs they know of.
